Ok, I looked all over the forums and all I found was an old string in which this question never got answered. I feel dumb - like I should already know this by now - but I can't seem to even connect to Orion when trying to login to this utility.
I'm using v10.2.1, and the database is stored locally on the same server that I'm running the utility from. I have tried for the server name: localhost, the IP of the server, and the name of the server. I have tried the local Solarwinds admin and password, the local machine account username/password, and also a domain administrator account - with proper syntax of domain\user.
Error message is: "unable to connect to Orion server" - sometimes "invalid username" sometimes "invalid username or password"
What am I doing wrong? What account does it want and how does it want the server name listed?
I don't even see anything in the Admin Guide that assists with this. Sorry if this is a n00b question.
